About KYA Baseball
Welcome to KYA Baseball! At KYA, we strive to help children
develop into better adults through participation in organized
sports. Sportsmanship, teamwork, self-reliance and self-discipline
are among the attributes needed by citizens of the future.
These positive characteristics can be learned through participation
in organized league play.
At KYA, we offer two levels of baseball play: Recreational
and Select.
Recreation Baseball is not designed for a few highly skilled
athletes, but for as many players in the community as possible
who are sincerely interested in the game. In the leagues
for younger age players, we make every attempt to include
every player who registers. This gives them an opportunity
to determine their fondness for the game, and also gives
them the chance to learn the basic skills the game requires.
At the same time, particularly as the players advance in
age, the privilege of participation should be earned through
attainment of performance levels by conscientious attendance
at games and practice sessions and by general conduct and
development on the playing field.
Select Baseball offers a higher level of competition for
its players. Players are chosen by teams after attending
tryout practices. Our select teams play against other select
teams in NE Tarrant County. KYA Select Baseball can be found

Important Dates for 2008
• Online Registration will be open from January 1st
through February 2nd
• Onsite Registration will be available at the KYA
Field House, located in the Keller Sports Complex between
Fields 15, 16 & 17, on the following dates:
o Thursday January 24th 6pm - 8 pm
o Saturday January 26th 9am - 12 Noon
o Thursday January 31st 6pm - 8pm
o Saturday February 2nd 9am - 12 Noon
• Note: Onsite registration is available in order
for you to pay via check rather than using a credit card.
All registrations during Onsite Registration will still
be entered into our online system
• There are no coaches look sessions for Ages 5-8.
• Coaches Looks for Ages 9-14 will be the week of
February 11th, please check back for exact times and locations
for your age group
• Players whom do not attend a Coaches Look will be
selected via blind draw during their league's draft
• Drafts for all leagues will be completed and players
notified by February 24th
• Opening Day (First Day of Games) will be March 24th
• KYA Recreation League End of Season Tournaments
will begin no later than May 27th
