The Tradition Begins Here!
The KYA Cheerleading program offers recreational cheerleading to children ages 5-12. Cheerleaders are taught basic skills and use
those skills to cheer on the KYA football teams during the Fall and Spring seasons. Our goal is to teach cheerleading techniques in
a fun and non-threatening environment where every child can be successful. The focus of the KYA program is on developing good life
skills through the sport of cheerleading.
The purpose of the Keller Youth Association Cheerleaders is to create and promote loyal team spirit and the ideal of good sportsmanship
by encouraging honesty, loyalty, courage, and reverence. Cheerleaders focus on the development of spirit and cheer technique, leadership,
cooperation, self-discipline, and sportsmanship in each individual member and squad. Molding of good, clean, healthy future citizens is
of prime importance.
Coaches are an important part of our success! We welcome new coaches and offer a coaching clinic to those interested in coaching.

of items that will disqualify an individual from coaching a KYA team or joining our board.
