Keller Youth Association Raises over $4,000 in Special Olympics Campaign.

For the 4th year in a row KYA Football teams, with the assistance of Keller High School football players and cheerleaders, completed a Special Olympics fundraising campaign to benefit Keller ISD's Special Education Department. This Fall KYA raised $ 4,031.22 to donate to KISD. This is a great accomplishment and brings the 4 year total donations to KISD to over $ 22,000. KYA would like to thank a few people for the success in 2011:
*The Keller Independent School District for their continued support of KYA
*Rack Room Shoes for their generous donation
*Coach Kevin Atkinson and the Keller Indians Football Players and cheerleaders that volunteered their time to collect donations
*Bob Dejonge and Billy Kidd for their continued support of our organization
*Heather Hughes, Jennifer Guess, Cindy Boaz for their dedication to the Special Olympics’ program
We would like to recognize all the KYA football players, families and coaches. There are so many KYA parents that champion our campaign every year and without their continued support it would not be possible to be here tonight.
Finally, we would like to thank the Special Olympic athletes. They inspire us to make a difference. Their spirit of competition is the driving force that empowers our kids and families to be involved. They truly represent what sports are all about. We thank these athletes, their families, and their coaches for their dedication, passion and commitment to Special Olympics.
